Our Presentations

The students will learn who the pollinators are in Canada, the difference between a Bee and a Wasp, what they eat, where they live, why they are so important, why they are in decline and what we can all do to protect them. The focus is mainly on the Bee and we do address their fears. Each presentation is grade appropriate.

“Keep doing what you’re doing! My Grade 2/3 students really loved their virtual field trip, and talked ALOT about bees for the rest of the week. Coincidentally, one of my students found an injured bee in our schoolyard the following day, and asked me to “save her”. (I gently picked up the bee and deposited her on a nearby tree branch.) My students crowded around wanting to observe the bee before I put it down, and there was no screaming or running away. One of my boys even reminded his friends to “stay calm and still like Shynice said!”

"This presentation and the presenter were fantastic! The students learned so much about pollinators, and pollen. Students were engaged and the 'movement' parts really helped them to stay engaged (flap your wings, drum roll, thumbs up or down, etc). Students also loved tryng to answer yes or no questions about bees. Malika spoke clearly, with enthusiasm, and at a good pace for kindergarten. Thank you, Malika!
